The mission of the Capitol Jamboree is to: bring in speakers from outside the area to share experience, strength, and hope with all people affected by the disease of alcoholism; share our community’s enthusiasm for sobriety with the newcomer; and strengthen our fellowship during an annual, fun-filled three-day convention in Olympia, Washington.
Our vision is to create, for the fellowship, an annual destination to celebrate sobriety so that those who still suffer may continue to receive our message of hope.
Capitol Jamboree Finances
The Capitol Jamboree adheres to Tradition 7 of the AA and Al-Anon programs. To be self-supporting, a Kickoff event is held in the spring, registration fees are charged for attendance at in-person events, and other fundraising activities, such as silent auctions, are organized. Donations to support our mission and vision are always welcome.
The Jamboree maintains a prudent reserve to cover necessary costs. The two documents linked below provide a picture of Capitol Jamboree finances over the past six years:

The 2020 Capitol Jamboree was canceled due to the pandemic but we still incurred some expenses. Our $1500 deposit to the Hotel RL will be applied to the 2022 convention. 2021 expenses include the technology required to provide a secure virtual kickoff and conference. Donations to help offset ongoing administrative and virtual event costs may be made via Venmo: @capitol-jamboree or by mailing a check to: Capitol Jamboree, 1910 4th Ave E PMB 218, Olympia, WA 98506-4632.
Thank you for supporting our local celebration of sobriety.
